Rwy’n falch iawn o gyflwyno fy mhaentiad ‘Celts’ ar y cyd gyda’r bardd Carwyn Eckley i ddathlu canmlwyddiant CPD Talysarn Celts. Bydd holl elw o werthiant y paentiad yn mynd tuag at ymdrechion y clwb i wella y cyfleusterau chware ar y Gloddfa Glai er bydd yr holl blant a phobl ifanc sydd yn mwynhau chware pêl droed.
Y Gloddfa Glai gyda’r Wyddfa a chrib Nantlle yn gefndir, mae’r paentiad yn bortread or gorffennol, y presennol ar dyfodol. Gem rhwng rhai o dîm gwreiddiol y clwb sefydlwyd yn 1922 a rhai o’r tîm presennol yn eu gwyrdd a gwyn yn gynrychiolaeth o bawb sydd wedi chwarae ir clwb dros y ganrif olaf. Wrth eu hochr mae’r genhedlaeth newydd, yn blant a phobl ifanc sydd yn rhan mor bwysig i ddyfodol y clwb.
It gives me great pleasure to present my latest painting 'Celts', together with the poet Carwyn Eckley to celebrate the centenary of the CPD Talysarn Celts football club. All profits from the sale of the painting will go towards the club's efforts to improve the playing facilities at y Gloddfa Glai for the benefit of all children and young people who enjoy playing football.
The ‘Gloddfa Glai’ with Snowdon and the Nantlle ridge as the background, the painting is a portrait of the past, the present and the future. A game between some of the original team founded in 1922 and some of the current team in their green and white representing everyone who has played for the club over the last century.
Watching in his suit is the Rev Robert Jones and his sheep dog 'Tos' one of the original founders of the club and a group of quarrymen who represent the area's slate quarrying history. By their side is the new generation of children and young people who are and will be integral to the future of the club.
